Pragmatic Application of Service Management

April 14, 2015

It would appear that we’re not the only ones to recognise that a more rounded approach to service management is the way forward. The book Pragmatic Application of Service Management by Suzanne D. Van Hove and Mark Thomas would be a (nearly) perfect accompaniment to ITSM Zone's Foundations For Professionals (FFP) program. (It would be completely perfect if OBASHI had been included too!)

This book is available in different formats from IT Governance (in the United Kingdom and in the United States) and offers guidance on how to merge the frameworks, standards and methodologies of ITIL, COBIT5 and ISO/IEC 20000 to develop best practice across the ITSM function and produce a robust enterprise philosophy for service delivery.

Our FFP program mirrors the idea that an integrated system with different methods can be the best route to service management excellence and combines four foundation courses for professionals working in Service Management. We’re delighted to see that Van Hove and Thomas have written this and would highly recommend it to our FFP students, perhaps adding the OBASHI Manual to your reading list too!

Any students purchasing the full FFP Program or the three course top up option before the 13th July 2014 can claim a copy of this book in eBook format. Simply complete your FFP purchase before this date at itsm.zone and email support@itsmzone and we’ll get it sent over to you!
