ITIL v3 Expert to ITIL 4 Managing Professional

Why should I consider transitioning to ITIL Managing Professional?

If you’ve already invested in getting ITIL Expert certified (or if you have 17 credits from the v3 certification path), then the transition course to Managing Professional will help you build on that investment and add the very latest service management thinking to your resume. While many of the ITIL v3 concepts still exist in ITIL 4, the ITIL 4 guidance also includes important new service thinking including the service value system and service value chain.

The ITIL Managing Professional Transition course will not be available indefinitely, so this is an ideal opportunity to get qualified in the most efficient way.

When will the training be available?

Do I need to take the ITIL 4 Foundation?

You won’t need to take the ITIL 4 Foundation course before taking this transition course. The course materials will include any new concepts that you need to understand as part of the training. If you want to get a head start, you can still access our ITIL 4 Foundation Bridge course.

How long will the transition course be available?

The availability period for this course hasn’t been confirmed yet. The ITIL 4 advanced level courses will be available from November 2019, after which it’s likely that v3 training courses and transition courses will be retired. We’ll communicate any dates we receive.

    Please inform what would be the best possible way I can go to ITIL V4. As I have completed 3 modules of ITIL V3 Intermediate SO, ST and SD. Please inform me the next steps so that I can go to ITIL V4.
