Is eLearning right for me?

The recent, rapid increase in working from home has pushed many employers to focus on remote training and development. Although online learning has shown significant growth over the last 10 years, the pandemic has inspired a more significant change – online learning has become the first choice for training and development.

Research suggests that online learning is the future of education – allowing increased retention of information, less time out of the office, and better value and return on investment. If eLearning is new for you, this article will give you a sneak peek into our learner experience. Based on more than 10 years of course creation knowhow, we’ll share  information about how it works and why it could be the perfect option for you!

Our courses are goal-oriented

All our courses are divided into modules and lessons which are easy to absorb. Each section will have a specific goal to allow you to meet your learning objectives. Before you start your training, you will find lots of information available – you can read our course introduction and find out what is the learning goal of each module or lesson.

Our short lessons are combined with a clear goal that must be reached by the end of the session and the goal must match or relate to the specification learning outcomes. For example, in our Agile Scrum course an outcome might be to ‘Explain why Agile methodologies are important and how they add value’. This is detailed in the lesson, reinforced with an exercise and tested through quiz questions and the sample exam.

All course include downloadable study guides –  documents which are supplementary to the information available online and can be used in conjunction with the videos, quizzes and exercises. You can use the Study Guides in conjunction with your own notes that you make as you progress through the course.

On our website you can find course video samples that will give you a taste of our lessons. We’re proud of what we do – and we want you to be fully informed before you make a purchase. Check out the examples below:

We bring content to life

We know our learners! We’ve listened to your feedback over many years, and one of things you’ve asked for is interaction. And we deliver…

How do we do that?

We develop storytelling by weaving a case study into lessons and building the story around the content, using videos and cartoons to bring the story to life. One of our case studies, The Toddler Tracker, is a good example of this. In the Agile Project Management course the components of the Toddler Tracker device are used for an exercise to apply MoSCoW prioritization, and in another example, you are the project manager working out how to communicate effectively with your team. All of this is reinforced with feedback and quizzes to check learning.

In short, we develop inclusive and engaging learning by creating courses that are mixture of interactions, cartoons, video, real-world examples and quizzes.

Learn in bitesize chunks and stay engaged

According to the Journal of Applied Psychology, learning in bite-sized pieces makes the transfer of learning 17% more efficient.

All of our lessons are short and focused,  and encourage interaction. Our goal is to have 10 minute lessons, align with eLearning best practice and new concepts like microlearning. You can set your own schedule, and take as much or as little time as you like to do the course exercises. You control the pace of your learning.

Inside each lesson, you’ll find a mixture of:

  • Self-paced content for you to read absorb at your own speed
  • Multi-level learning, where you can click for more detail if you need it
  • Exercises
  • Quizzes
  • Real world examples to bring the content to life

Our eLearning puts you in charge.
