ACT FAST: Progress your BRM skills with CBRM training

Times are changing! And this is reflected in the Business Relationship Management courses that are offered in conjunction with the BRM Institute and accredited by APMG International. In 2021 the Business Relationship Management Professional syllabus had a big change and last month the older version of the course was withdrawn.

BRMP qualified students who used the older course now have a short time available in which to take the Certified Business Relationship Manager course. This higher-level training will change in the not too distant future and as the current version of CBRM is withdrawn, legacy BRMP certificate holders won’t fulfil the prerequisites.

If you hold the legacy BRMP certification, you are eligible to now take CBRM. Once CBRM has been refreshed and updated, you will not be able to take it without recertifying in the new BRMP.

If you hold the new BRMP, there is currently no option to take CBRM, as this is not accepted as meeting the pre-requisites.

So, if you hold the “older” BRMP qualification and you want to progress your learning and understanding – act fast!

What is the difference between BRMP and CBRM?

BRMP is a foundational-level course, perfect for anyone wanting to learn more about the BRM capability or just getting started as a BRM in the field. The CBRM Course is a practitioner-level course for BRMs with experience who are seeking to expand their understanding of the discipline in greater details. The BRPM is a prerequisite of the CBRM.

What is required to take the current CBRM course and certification:

• Legacy Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP) certification.
• Completion of an accredited course is a mandatory pre-requisite for the exam

Who is CBRM for:

The online Certified Business Relationship Management (CBRM) course allows BRMP qualified students to take the next step in their development and learn what it means to become a strategic BRM or business partner.

The purpose of the Practitioner qualification is to confirm whether the candidate has achieved sufficient understanding of how to apply CBRM guidance in a given scenario situation.
